Rhonda Murkin – LLB (Hons), Assoc CIPD, FCILEx (non practising)

Our lead consultant, Rhonda Murkin, has worked in the legal profession for over 30 years in almost every role from administrative support to fee earning. Latterly she spent seven years as a Practice Manager in a multi-office regional practice before becoming the HR & Regulatory Manager at a leading London barristers’ Chambers. These roles have seen her take responsibility for law firm financial management, human resources, compliance and regulatory matters, and the Lexcel standard, acting as the Lexcel Senior Responsible Officer for over five years. During that time she oversaw the transition from version 5 of the standard through versions 6 and 6.1 before qualifying as a Law Society approved and accredited consultant in 2020, authorised to provide advice against Lexcel England and Wales and Lexcel International.

Rhonda’s particular areas of expertise include:

• Regulation and compliance spanning the requirements of both the Solicitors’ Regulatory Authority and the Bar Standards Board;

• Financial management including the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules;
